Compassionate Support for Life’s Challenges
I deeply understand the challenges life can bring, and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and empowered. My approach to therapy is rooted in building trust, collaboration, and respect, so you can feel supported as you work through life's difficulties.
I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology (MA) from Yorkville University and am a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals.
I have specialized training and certification in:
* Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
* Somatic Embodiment & Regulation
* Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
* Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
* Cybercounselling
* Mindfulness
* Mental Health First Aid
With over a decade of experience, I offer psychotherapy services to the Uxbridge community and beyond. I’ve had the privilege of working in various mental health settings, including:
-
Therapy for children on the Autism Spectrum
-
Psychological Testing
-
Psychotherapy Intern at Pinewood Centre for Addictions & Mental Health
-
Psychotherapist at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences in the Anxiety & Mood Disorders Clinic
-
I draw from a blend of holistic practices such as Somatic regulation, the Embodiment of Act, and Mindfulness, as well as cognitive modalities such as CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, & Narrative Therapy, to provide a personalized approach that best suits your needs.
Through mindfulness and other therapeutic practices, I help clients stay present and grounded, enabling them to gain new skills, insights, and perspectives as they heal.
My clinical experience in hospital settings has focused on addiction and mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, and eating disorders. This background has given me a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of mental health and healing.
